Native Launches With Security Control Plane for Multicloud The cloud security startup's platform translates and enforces security policies across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and Oracle using provider-native controls. Dark Reading Staff , Dark Reading March 19, 2026 2 Min Read Source: Peachaya Tanomsup via Alamy Stock Photo NEWS BRIEF Native Raises $42M to Enforce Security Across Multi-Cloud Native's cloud security control plane translates security policies into provider-native enforcement across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, with pre-deployment simulation to prevent business disruption. Adversaries are using artificial intelligence to accelerate vulnerability discovery and exploitation, which then compresses the timeline for human analysts to discover attacks and respond. Attackers are also increasingly exploiting zero-day vulnerabilities, targeting flaws before patches are publicly available. In response, enterprise defenders are increasingly investing in secure-by-design cloud architecture — where security is already embedded into the cloud environment. Despite the fact that Amazon Web Services, Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure all offer deep native security controls, many organizations use only a fraction of what is available because any errors deploying those controls could disrupt the business. Applying them consistently is complex, and in many cases, the security controls wind up varying across accounts, services, and clouds. There is a gap between the organization's cloud security strategy and what the organization's security team can reliably maintain at scale. Related: Cloud Outages Highlight the Need for Resilient, Secure Infrastructure Recovery This is the problem Native, which emerged from stealth this week, is tackling with the cloud security control plane for the multicloud enterprise. Native's platform translates security intent into enforceable, secure-by-design architecture across AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. That means security teams define what they want, and Native translates the intent into provider-specific configurations and apply them to the environment. The company claimed the platform is already being used by organizations in financial services, technology, and media sectors. Rather than adding yet another monitoring or detection layer, Native relies on the security controls already built into the cloud environment, using provider-native enforcement mechanisms. Even if the organization doesn't have in-depth security expertise for every cloud environment being used, the team can use the platform to ensure the controls are still being applied consistently. Native's platform also includes pre-deployment impact simulation, intelligent rollout strategies, and built-in approval workflows to ensure nothing disrupts business operations, the company said in a statement. Megiddo previously led Amazon GuardDuty at AWS; Ordo previously led AWS Security Hub; and Faingold was previously the vice president of cloud security at Check Point. Phil Venables, former CISO of Google Cloud, is a member of the board. As part of the launch, Native also raised $42 million, including a $31 million Series A led by Ballistic Ventures.
