The platform, which offered free access to copyrighted manga, generated significant revenue through aggressive pop-up advertisements, reportedly exceeding $4.7 million. Many of these ads were pornographic, raising concerns given the site's popularity among minors. The investigation, launched in June 2025, led to a raid in Almeria, Spain, where a complex technological setup was discovered. Authorities confiscated cryptocurrency wallets containing over $470,000. Three additional arrests were made in connection with the operation.
