This initiative involves selected participants engaging in workshops and online discussions to shape the future of digital identification in Britain, with further coverage provided by The Register. Invitations have been sent to 36,000 households, with approximately 100 to 120 individuals being chosen from volunteers to represent a diverse cross-section of the UK population. These participants will attend in-person workshops in Birmingham on the weekends of May 30-31 and June 20-21, as well as three weekday evening Zoom sessions beginning May 21. They will hear from experts and the minister in charge before breaking into facilitated groups to develop recommendations for government ministers. Participants will receive £550 plus expenses for their time, including meals, travel, accommodation, and childcare.
