Proof-of-concept exploit available for Linux 'Copy Fail' vulnerability (CVE-2026-31431)

A proof-of-concept exploit is now available for the high-severity Linux kernel "Copy Fail" vulnerability (CVE-2026-31431, CVSS 7.8). The vulnerability affects a wide range of kernel versions from 4.14 up to, but not including, the fixed versions 5.10.254, 5.15.204, 6.1.170, 6.6.137, 6.12.85, 6.18.22, and 6.19.12, depending on the specific kernel branch in use.
