De kwetsbaarheid betreft een denial-of-service in Cisco Crosswork Network Controller die kan worden misbruikt door niet-geauthenticeerde externe aanvallers. De aanval bestaat uit het overweldigen van het systeem met een groot aantal verbindingverzoeken, waardoor de diensten onresponsief worden.
