AI/ML SecurityScorecard acquires Driftnet to enhance AI-driven risk management May 14, 2026 Share By SC Staff (Adobe Stock) Cyber risk management company SecurityScorecard Inc. announced its acquisition of U.K.-based internet scanning and threat intelligence startup Driftnet Ltd. The deal aims to integrate real-time global internet visibility into SecurityScorecard’s third-party risk management platform, as reported by Silicon Angle. The acquisition of Driftnet will see its internet scanning engine integrated into SecurityScorecard's TITAN AI platform. Driftnet's technology maps exposed hosts, services, and misconfigurations across the internet, covering the full IPv4 space, regional internet registry data, DNS records, and IPv6 assets. By incorporating Driftnet's capabilities, SecurityScorecard claims it can now index 40% more internet-exposed hosts than competitors. This enhanced visibility is intended to help organizations identify vendor exposures, such as non-standard ports, exposed credentials, or shadow AI deployments, before they lead to breaches. The move comes as enterprises face increasing third-party risks from the proliferation of AI software within supplier environments. SecurityScorecard recently used the Driftnet engine to identify over 816,000 internet-exposed deployments of the OpenClaw AI agent framework, many linked to prior breaches, highlighting a new category of risk from automated tools with weak access controls.
