Two critical vulnerabilities (CVE-2022-25235 and CVE-2022-25236, CVSS 9.8) in the Expat library vendored within the Ayttm instant messaging client could allow an attacker to cause a crash or execute arbitrary code via specially crafted files. The underlying Expat library is affected in versions prior to 2.4.5. Ubuntu 16.04 LTS users should update the Ayttm package to version 0.6.3-3ubuntu0.1~esm1 to remediate the issue.
