Researchers have identified ZeroDayRAT , a new cross-platform remote access trojan targeting both Android and iOS devices. Delivered via social-engineering lures and sideloaded applications, the malware grants attackers real-time control of infected devices, including screen capture, keylogging, and exfiltration of sensitive files and credentials. Its modular design and use of stealth techniques make detection difficult for conventional defenses. The presence of ZeroDayRAT demonstrates how modern mobile threats blend surveillance and remote access capabilities, turning smartphones and tablets into dynamic attack surfaces. Strengthening app-install policies, monitoring unusual behavior, and rapid OS patching are key mitigations.
