Data Breaches Loblaw Data Breach Impacts Customer Information Personal information such as names, email addresses, and phone numbers was accessed by hackers. By Eduard Kovacs | March 15, 2026 (6:00 AM ET) Flipboard Reddit Whatsapp Whatsapp Email Canadian retailer Loblaw has disclosed a data breach after threat actors gained access to customer information. Loblaw is one of Canada’s largest food and pharmacy retailers. It operates over 2,400 stores across Canada and owns brands such as Shoppers Drug Mart, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstore, and President’s Choice. In a brief data breach notice the company said it recently discovered that a “criminal third-party” accessed basic customer information such as names, email addresses, and phone numbers. “Loblaw’s current investigation indicates that passwords, health information and credit card data were not compromised. The investigation also indicates that PC Financial was not impacted by this breach,” the company stated . It’s unclear how many customers are affected by the Loblaw data breach. Loblaw’s data breach disclosure comes just as Starbucks has begun notifying hundreds of employees about a cybersecurity incident that exposed their personal information.
